Surrounded by a lush, green garden and with magnificent views to glacier, mountains and fjords - we offer a place to lower your shoulders - far away from the everyday stressors hand hustle. We focus on offering a calm and relaxing atmosphere
This is a place where you feel like you belong. At our dinner table you will find food with local, seasonal and traditional ingredients .
Our next door neighbor is nature and hiking trails, and just a short drive away you will find the village of Balestrand, known for Norwegian art history. The national scenic route Gaularfjellet is at our doorstep, and ferry connection close by.

Our family has been here for generations and every generation has shaped the hotel in some way or form - making it quite unique. Once a traditional farm with grazing animals and a garden full of fruit and vegetables, it is now a small and charming boutique hotel.

Our rooms
Through generations of different owners, our hotel has its very own, and quite unique style. Our rooms are all in different shapes and sizes, with charming, and surprising, nooks and crannies. We could have taken them away, but we really don´t want to.
To keep the soul of the hotel, we choose to preserve our history and be original with a modern twist.
History is part of us, and we are part of history.
Our cabins
In our hotel garden you will find charming cabins in different sizes and style. Some of them look the same on the outside, but inside they are all different. Every cabin has its own unique style, and there is an outdoor deck and a fjordview. The cabins are just a short walk from the hotel. They are set with space between them, surrounded by natural greenery, lush grass or wild blueberry bushes.

Activities
Feel the wind rustle through your hair on a fjord RIB-boat adventure or go for a stroll in the garden? Set course for a summit or the fjord. From our hotel the Sognefjord is just seconds away, and adventures in nature is right on our doorstep.
By the way, you don´t have to be active. If you would rather have a quiet moment to yourself with a local drink in your hand and a book - our garden patio is the perfect place.

In fact, the garden is so large, you won´t have any trouble finding a
secret hiding place to sit down and have a quiet moment, enjoying a
book or the fjord and glacier views.
